"The process of failing fast is to iterate many rapid-prototypes, potentially creating a time machine for accessing the design future."
Director of Advanced Technologies / Robotics
June 2017 - Sept. 2019

Responsibilities included establishing BTI’s robotics division & plastics division, to support a wide range of 6-Axis robotic applications for production and product development needs. BTI is a vertically integrated R&D space, where engineers are coupled with 150,000 sq ft of advanced equipment - capable of low volume production.
With his strategic design and innovation background, Ajmal was brought in to assess the company's current and future growth needs in advanced manufacturing, specifically related to robotics. During the course of two years, Ajmal established a robotics program, by specifying and integrating the industrial robots, configuring the robots onto the manufacturing floor, and building the team responsible for operating the industrial robots. Additionally, he launched the Plastics Division, with a focus on integrating Additive Manufacturing, Thermo-forming and Injection Molding applications to produce innovative solutions in product development, prototyping, and end-use production parts. This newly formed Advanced Technological infrastructure, provided a rapid prototyping space to produce innovative solutions for the R&D team and to better serve the clients performance criteria and demanding project schedules.
"Where robotics meets manufacturing to create a new type of advanced technological landscape to meet the growing demands for a more collaborative environment for Crafting the Future."
